Heavenly Black Angel
01/40 “Harlequin Blue” An unusual bracelet comprising a combination of Thai blue and Burmese pink sapphires. The large cushion shape harlequin cut sapphire in the clasp is mounted in 18ct yellow gold and supports fourteen rows of graduated faceted intense pink sapphires. This is the first completed of these designs, which inspired me to create others in different materials.
02/40 “White Fan” The top broach, which is quite unique, created from an interesting collection of six baroque white Australian Keshi pearls. Five pearls form finials at the top of the 18ct white gold distorted fan shape center with the sixth pearl forming a tail at its base. “ Snow Buds” the lower broach with its large and two smaller Keshi pearls simulating flower buds with a pair of carved Ceylonese sapphires leaves all set in 18ct white gold.
03/40 “Heavenly Black Angel” This pendent was created around the ebony head of a young man. Bought by a friend in New York this Blackamoor piece carved in the 1920’s has been converted into an angel with 18ct yellow gold wings and white gold mounted blue moonstone shoulders. The magnificent South Sea Pearl base sets it apart and represents a truly unique piece.
04/40 “White Moon” This bracelet with its cabochon white moonstone centre all set in 18ct yellow gold as a clasp. The fifteen rows of intense dark blue faceted Ceylonese sapphires with small 18ct yellow gold spacers creates a dramatic contrast between dark and light. The piece is mounted on an antique century rock crystal Chinese water dropper.
05/40 “Blue Lagoon” This aquamarine necklace is made up of high colour cabochon cut oval beads with 3 rows of grey- blue South Sea pearls scattered throughout. “Blue Lake” the pendant with a cushion shape cabochon cut internally clean unusual aquamarine center. The loop and surround of “F” colour white brilliant cut pave set diamonds adds to the sophisticated look of the piece.“Cho Cho” These delicate drops above featuring rare carved blue Tourmaline wings mounted in 18ct yellow gold with blue cabochon moonstone drops add to the lightness to the piece. All suspended on a 18ct white gold chain with a cabochon blue sapphire top.
06/40 “Putty” This is named after the figure on the 18ct yellow gold clasp, which I cast from an antique hard stone Roman intaglio. The clasp supports four rows natural oval gold Keshi Pearls of different sizes with gold spacers.
07/40 “Violet Haze” This Kunzite collection is designed around this particularly large rectangular square cut Kunzite from Brazil weighing in at 105ct as a pendent mounted in 18ct yellow gold and the drops shaped Kunzite, also from Brazil, detectable and mounted on a Pave diamond swirled top. The necklace is also on mounted on a rock crystal facetted beads and the pendent is detachable.
08/40 ”Moss Green” This is quite a unique piece as it is made up from chrysoprase beads, which were mined in South Australia and cut in China. They are often referred to as Australian jade because of their hardness and intense green colour. This string is made up of a graduated round beads 24-18mm with some small inclusions, which give a more natural feeling to the piece. The matching earrings with 18ct yellow gold pebble with a detachable pair of chrysoprase balls.
09/40 “Green Envy” This bracelet was designed based on antique drawings from Jaipur India where I originally bought these stones many years ago. The clasp has a intricate carved African emerald mounted in 18ct yellow gold supporting six rows of cabochon emerald beads.
10/40 “White Water” This necklace is reminiscent of water flowing over pebbles. These extra large baroque fresh water pearls the biggest and best I have ever seen, so it the first time I have had anything as large as this to make up a necklace. The 18ct yellow gold tops, designed as stylized fan shape shells, that when reversed form a heart. The drops, which are detachable, are a beautiful pair of extra large baroque fresh water pearls.
11/40 “Pink Panther” This necklace was designed around the beautiful dark pink faceted Kunzite cushion cut weighing 37.5cts as the centerpiece. There are a pair of pave diamond shoulders either side supporting the center stone and similar set after the first pearl. All are mounted in 18ct yellow gold including the clasp, which is strung on the Tahitian black south sea pearls. The earrings are 18ct yellow gold pave diamonds with a center diamond and three rows of pave diamond swirls. The detachable 16.5mm black Tahitian south sea pearl drops are capped with pave diamonds set in 18ct white gold.
12/40 “Blueberries” This necklace, with two rows of cabochon blue Thai sapphires beads, enhanced by and a pair of 18ct yellow gold lattice frames and pave diamonds with matching clasp. The earring tops are stylized fan shape in 18ct yellow gold supporting a pair of detachable graduated blue sapphire beads, the same as the necklace, with a pair diamond roundels.
13/40 “Tutti Frutti” This collection of faceted sapphire beads is quite unusual in that these stones are all natural colours. I have placed rock crystal faceted beads between each one to make the necklace look very much alive. The earring tops are in the form of angel wings cast in 18ct yellow gold. The detachable drops using the same sapphires in different colours of grey finishing with South Sea pearl finials and tops.
14/40 “The Duchess” This collection of chalcedony a stone, which was a great favorite of the Duchess of Windsor and therefore evokes a lot of international interest. The necklace is made up of six strands of tubular cabochon beads with 18ct yellow gold spacers and twist clasp. The top earrings and brooch made of carved chalcedony flowers and with a pink sapphire centers. The lower earrings are half round hoops in 18ct white gold with detachable drops of carved distorted chalcedony hearts. The pendant is a wide carved heart shaped chalcedony with a pave diamond hinged top.
15/40 “Empire” These earrings feature a pair of oval pink Madagascan sapphires 5.43cts surrounded by pave diamonds 1.88cts.The detachable drops feature an impressive pair of green Brazilian drop shape tourmaline and detachable is the drop below which is a green Tourmaline from Brazil mounted in a double row of pave Diamonds. The second set of earrings is mounted as a pair of blue Ceylonese sapphires 7.49cts with diamond surround 2.76cts and a detachable drop of a bronze orange pair of drop shape beryl 64cts.
16/40 “Macadamia” This collection is made up of rare gold coral from Hawaii. The necklace is a collection of graduated beads and the drops are also mounted in 18ct yellow gold, which are detachable to the tops and are 18-carat yellow gold with cameo images of a Roman Emperor. The pin is made of a Baroque South Sea Pearl turned into a bird with a gold beak and feet with a dark black diamond eye mounted on a piece of gold coral and the ring is 18ct yellow gold mounted with bronze mauve pearl of which the colour is quite unique.
17/40 “The Sultan” This Blackamoor broach come pendant is one of the most important pieces or jewellery I have yet designed. It is made up of an antique ebony Blackamoor head with added pearl earrings and an 18ct yellow gold turban with an aquamarine top. The body is made of a pair of carved pink tourmalines with a pave white and black diamond detailing with a white pearl drop. The earrings are made of a pair of traditionally carved pink tourmaline cut in Brazil mounted in white gold with pave diamond surrounds and blue moonstone drops with triangular diamond tops.
18/40 “Purple Haze” This amethyst collection shows the diversity of colour of this popular stone. The necklace is made of pale carved amethyst interspersed with dark amethyst faceted spacer beads. The drops are dark long faceted Brazilian amethyst mounted in 18ct yellow gold. The ring features a finely carved amethyst again mounted in 18ct yellow gold.

19/40 “Blue Ice” This aquamarine necklace with unusual hexangular cut beads with a center stone, carved in Jaipur India mounted each side a pair of 18ct yellow gold dolphin heads. The detachable earrings are mounted in white gold with the same cut aquamarine beads and Keshi Pearls. The half round earrings are made in 18ct white gold.
20/40 “Birds in Flight” This unique necklace of baroque fresh water pearls interspersed with five Keshi pearl birds with black diamond eyes mounted with18ct yellow gold spacers and clasp. The earrings are a pair of Keshi pearl birds with black diamond eyes and a carved amethyst drops. The drops below are a pair of similar pearls with one small and one large at the base.
21/40 “Popery” This is named after the figure on the 18ct yellow gold clasp, which I cast from an antique hard stone Roman intaglio. The clasp supports four rows natural oval gold Keshi Pearls of different sizes with gold spacers.
22/40 “Black Knight” This necklace is made up of faceted drop shape black spinel beads with a pair of crystal beads and faceted spinel beads necklace. The onyx drops cut with a harlequin pattern and mounted in 18ct white gold.
23/40 “Two Crosses” This rock crystal necklace features a prop shape faceted morganite from Brazil 24.46cts mounted in18ct white gold and supported each side with a pair of pave diamond crosses 0.90cts. The earrings are a faceted Rose to France amethyst mounted in 18ct white gold.
24/40 “The Emperor“ This ring with an antique hard stone cameo of a Roman Emperor is enhanced by a pave diamond surround, all mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
25/40 “Pearl Nuggets” This unusual necklace is made up of four strands of gold fresh water pearls alternating with cabochon amethyst beads and a Sterling Silver magnetic gold plated clasp. The earrings are a pair of 18ct yellow gold wings. The detachable drops are Brazilian amethyst cabochon cut cushion shape Brazilian amethysts”.
26/40 “Cleopatra” This necklace, inspired by an ancient Egyptian design, made up of four rows of tubular gold coral beads from Hawaii alternating with cabochon turquoise beads with a Sterling Silver clasp. The drops, with discs of free form shaped turquoise and carved amethyst drops mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
27/40 “Nice Nuggets” This necklace is made up of natural turquoise nuggets graduated shapes alternating with Sterling Silver Turks Head Knot beads. The earrings are Sterling Silver mounted spit pair of geodes drop of Turquoise on a Sterling Silver graduated top.
28/40 “•” The necklace is made of three rows of brown orange zircon beads with gold spacers and gold Keshi Pearls. The earrings are based on a large pebble design, cast in 18ct yellow gold with a brushed finish. The drops below are sheet amber mounted in 18ct yellow gold with gold South Sea Pearl drops.
29/40 “Forever Amber” The amber collection shows the diversity of the stone which is a yellowish fossil resin. The torsade is made up of multiple strands of small oval amber beads from Poland with an 18ct gold clasp. The drops are clear sheet amber cut as a leaf set in 18ct white gold. The drops are reversible showing the white gold outline frame at the back. The brooch has an expanded Flannel flower set with a pave diamond center on a disc of natural dark brown amber.
30/40 “Coral Island” This coral necklace is made from extraordinarily large free-form beads from Taiwan and mounted in an 18ct yellow gold clasp. The top earrings are a split pair of Taiwanese coral, which is a bead that has been cut in half so you get the perfect pair. Below is a pair of Taiwanese coral drops on 18ct yellow gold hooks.
31/40 ”Everlasting Flame” This necklace is made up of three strings of Neapolitan coral elongated free-form beads interspersed with white south sea pearls and 18ct yellow and pearl clasp. The earrings with a pair fresh water pearl birds with black diamond eyes and free-form coral red coral with a pair of 18ct yellow gold mounted turquoise drops.
32/40 “•” The necklace is made up of white Keshi pearls with pink tourmaline beads all strung on 18ct yellow gold spacers. The earrings are carved dark red tourmaline mounted in 18ct yellow gold with a pair of detachable white Keshi pearls. The ring with a fancy cut faceted pink tourmaline 9.80cts mounted in 18ct yellow and white gold with pave diamond shoulders. The butterfly brooch with unusually carved black and red tourmaline wings and a Keshi pearl body mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
33/40 ”Miners Dream” This magnificent crystal opal 27.65cts has been mounted in 18ct yellow gold and the chain is 18ct yellow gold, stylized leaves. The earrings are a similar design in 18ct yellow gold with a pair detachable doublet Australian Opals mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
34/40 “Pearly Pebbles” This necklace is made up of natural white Australian Keshi pearls graduated and with brushed 18ct yellow gold spacers and clasp. The earrings are made up of two sets of pairs of natural baroque Keshi pearls each split in the center with pave diamonds set in 18ct white gold.
35/40 ”Victoria” This necklace features three antique dark Tassie glass intaglios of Classical Roman busts mounted in 18ct yellow gold supported on twisted coiled 18ct yellow gold beads and stylized leaves. The earrings have stylized sunburst tops with a pair of black Tassie glass intaglios of classic Roman origin.
36/40 “Pursian Pride” This Lapis lazuli necklace is made up of carved 20mm twisted ribbed beads with an 18ct yellow gold clasp. The earrings are a pair of caboch Lapis lazuli centers with a surround of 18ct yellow gold leaves.
37/40 “Opal Delight” This necklace with two rows of black Tahitian south sea pearls with an diamond surround Australian Opal center surround and 18ct yellow gold clasp. The earrings are made up of two pairs of black Tahitian south sea pearls with pave diamond crosses. The ring is an 18ct white gold mounted cabochon Australian opal with diamond surround.
38/40 “Purple Petals” This unique necklace consists of two rows of drop shaped graduated cabochon Tanzinite beads specially cut to reflect the light with an 18ct yellow gold clasp. These stones have come from Tanzania and are cut in Jaipur especially for this necklace. The earrings are made up of a Keshi pearls carved Iolite and Zavorite stones all set in 18ct yellow gold. The detachable drops are a pair of 18ct yellow gold mounted cabochon Tanzanites. The ring is a faceted Tanzanite 6.45cts set in a double row of pave diamonds 1.60cts and 18ct white gold.
39/40 “Moonlight” This delightful necklace with three rows of graduated blue moonstone briolettes beads from Sri Lanka with an 18ct gold clasp. The earrings with the blue moonstone cabochon center with a surround of blue Sapphires all mounted in 18ct white gold. The ring is a large drop shaped blue moonstone 17.06cts from Sri Lanka set in white gold pave diamond 1.90cts surround.
40/40 “•” This necklace is made up of two rows of alternating faceted rock crystal and smoky quartz beads with a Sterling Silver clasp. The brooch with a pair of carved brown tourmaline leaves and a white Keshi pearl bird and a gold south sea pearl drop, all mounted in 18ct yellow gold. The earrings made up of two pairs of brown Tourmaline with stylized leaves mounted in 18ct yellow gold with a pair of gold oval south sea pearl drops. The pair of brooches made up of a carved tourmaline trees in 18ct yellow gold with bases of 18ct gold mounted gold pave sapphires. The ring in the center is a smoky quartz intaglio of a Roman soldier mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
